Project overview
Due to a clinic extension of the east wing, Itenbau AG carried out settlement-free shoring of the east wing by means of a steel structure. Thirty press stations were installed and permanent monitoring was provided by hydrostatic level. The steel structure was 14.5 metres high and supported a weight of approx. 3,000 tonnes.
Challenges
Radiology with highly sensitive MRI equipment remained in uninterrupted operation throughout the construction period.
