Alignment of Annex Extension to Existing Building

Project overview

Due to poorly load-bearing subsoil, the annex had settled relative to the main existing building. This resulted in differential settlements between the two building sections. Following stabilization with our pressed pile system, we were able to correct the settlements using hydraulic jacks and realign the annex.

Challenges

The building remained inhabited throughout the entire duration of the work. The very soft, peaty, and settlement-sensitive subsoil placed high demands on the stabilization and alignment of the annex.
